I've been meaning to do this post for a while now and am finally getting around to remembering.
The question I have is: What is a staple menu item for your family?
I feel like I tend to rotate the same menu around and around and am looking for new and easy menu ideas from you all.
I'll start with some of the meals I serve atleast once a month:
Spaghetti
Burgers on the grill
Chicken and rice
Ham steak
Every meal is served with 2 sides of veggies and fruit.
One recent suggestion was salmon. I may have to add that to this months menu.
What are your ideas?

Crazy?
I am planning on taking the girls to Moorhead next week because I don't have to work. However, after taking them to Como today I'm thinking I might be crazy....

Fun Fourth
What a fun weekend!
David (brother) flew in late Thursday night so Friday we had Ronnie, Clare and the boys over to swim and then went to the Taste of MN where we ate, drank and listened to Whitesnake and Judas Priest. Rock on, man! Of course, we kept the kids up to watch the fireworks and they all passed out in the car before we even left the parking ramp.
Saturday we did our annual neighborhood parade and picnic lunch and then I headed to work for a few hours while Bill and the girls took marathon naps.
Dave, his girlfriend and her friend came over Saturday night to BBQ, bonfire and let off some fireworks. We enjoyed some s'mores and good, fun conversation.
Luckily for us, the Stafford clan decided to stop by to say hello this morning!! Bon, we think your family is sweet and thank you so much for taking the time to see us.
The Ambriz family was back again today for more fun in the sun (what can I say, having a pool is a great way to get people to come over and keep us company!)
Tonight Clare and I are heading to the No Doubt concert at the Xcel and I.can't.wait!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you all enjoyed the lakes or wherever you spent your fourth.

Miami Pictures
In case some of you were wondering (ahem, Bonnie!) my computer DIED last Monday because of power outages in our neighborhood.

Miami
It feels as if it were a dream.
Imagine winning a trip to an exotic resort. That's how I feel this was. It was like winning something fabulous, only I didn't win my Mom gave it to me.
This was possibly the best gift I've ever been given. I have my Mom to thank - totally.
Miami was everything I thought it would be: exotic, retro, hot, relaxing, fun, interesting and on and on.
The resort was A-MA-ZING! First class all the way. Multiple pools, a private beach, a lazy river, waterslide, multiple restaurants and bars and people to wait on you hand and foot wherever you went.
South beach was a blast!! Jimmy drove from Orlando to see the sights of South Beach with my Mom and I. It was just funny to take the A1A to Beachfront Avenue (Vanilla Ice, ya'll!!).
The clubs and the people were pretty much exactly what I pictured. I took a ton of pictures and can't wait to post them!
It's funny because I didn't realize how much I needed the get away until I got there. And vice versa, I didn't realize how much I missed home until I got back.
And, since it's Father's Day, I have to say THANK YOU to my Bill. Thank you for understanding this opportunity and for holding down the fort while I was gone.
I am very lucky to have a partner who I can trust - making it actually relaxing to be away. Not every Mom has a Dad she can rely on to run a household like he can without turning the house completely up-side-down in the mean time. I love you honey!

5 days
I was rocking Laila this morning for her morning nap and she was drinking her bottle and lying on my chest. She was curled up all tiny and sweet and I thought about my trip next week and being gone for so long and I freaked out.
I know some of you have left your little ones for extended periods of time. Does the anxiety and guilt go away?
